Matthew is in residence with the Momentum Percussion Ensemble at Manheim Central High School. This is the birthplace of Clair O. Musser, and the concert will pay tribute to our classical marimba great!

Heartland Marimba has teamed up with Lancaster Marimba Ensemble and David Harvey to produce the first-ever Musser Marimba Festival in Clair O. Musser’s hometown, Manheim, PA!

  • Oct. 14 – Location: TBA: Celebrate the birthday of the legendary Clair Omar Musser (1901-1998). A musical celebration of one of the most historical figures in modern marimba history and a titan of the marimba repertoire.

  • Oct. 15 – Manheim Historical Society: Lecture Presentation by David Harvey and performance of a newly discovered Musser piece by Matthew Coley

  • Oct. 16 – Manheim Farm Show Facility: Performances by percussion ensembles & solosits, vendor area, exhibits, and lots of friendly fun.

  • Oct. 18 – Manheim Central Middle School Auditorium: 60-piece marimba orchestra headlined by The Lancaster Marimba Ensemble and Heartland Marimba. Featuring 50+ college students and professional marimbists from around the nation. Registration to participate by Sept 1.
