Matthew performs Lee Hyla’s Amnesia Variance and a new work for solo marimba and percussion trio by David Colson with the Western Michigan University New Music Ensemble.
HMQ will perform at the Oklahoma Day of Percussion.
Performing with the American Ballet Theatre and the Pacific Symphony, Matthew will be seen onstage with his dulcimer for 5 shows at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, CA for the production of THE WINTER’S TALE!
Matthew is in residency with the Momentum Percussion Ensemble at Manheim Central High School. This is the birthplace of Clair O. Musser, and the concert will pay tribute to our classical marimba great!

Matthew will perform as a guest artist at Western Michigan University. The concert will feature the music of David Colson. David’s music can be heard on the new album, CONVERSING WITH SPIRITS.

Matthew performs Creston’s Marimba Concerto with the La Crosse Symphony. The Center for Mallet Percussion Research will also have an exhibit on display at the Viterbo Performing Arts featuring Ruth Stuber Jeanne, the premiere artist of the Creston Concerto, and a Century of Progress marimba from 1933.
Matthew performs as solo cimbalom artist with the Middleton High School Orchestra.
While in town to perform the Creston Concerto with the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra, Matthew will perform a solo concert at the Cappella Performing Arts Center.
As soloist, chamber musician, and with the Heartland Marimba Quartet, Matthew will perform several works by Dolores White at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Mixon Hall.
