"My Favorite Things"

Marimba Soloist, Matthew Coley performs a Bach to Broadway Concert!

Also featuring favorites by Brahms, Bizet, and Shostakovich, and ragtime by Joplin.

"My Favorite Things" features Matthew performing an imaginative and magical solo marimba program, touching on classical music favorites like The Flight of the Bumblebee and the Habanera from Carmen, as well as show tunes like And All That Jazz and Memory. In the spirit of Matthew's favorite things, the concert features the swirling and explorative character of the fugue, a genre made popular by Bach's genius. Matthew performs a Bach fugue from the famous Well-Tempered Clavier and has written a fugue on the main theme of My Favorite Things
